Action for Children comms head David Hamilton to chair PR Council

The PRCA has appointed David Hamilton, head of PR and engagement at Action for Children, to the role of vice-chairman of the PR Council before he takes the council's chairman role in January 2016.

Hamilton will become vice-chairman in January 2015, when current vice-chair Tony Langham, Lansons CEO, is promoted to PR Council chairman for that year.
The PR Council, which sits within the PRCA, is described as a "thin- tank" for the industry, informing the PRCA’s strategic priorities and providing a formal mechanism to consult with senior practitioners.
Langham said: "David's a top man who has already brought a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to the council. I look forward to working with him next year and he'll make a great chairman in 2016."
The PR Council is currently chaired by Red Lorry Yellow Lorry co-founder Rob Ettridge.
