NEW YORK: Golin has named Samantha Cranko as executive director and leader of the agency’s healthcare practice in New York.
She is counseling healthcare clients and working to grow the firm’s business, reporting to Golin New York MD Tony Telloni, the firm said in a statement.
Cranko, who started at Golin on October 27, said many challenges in the healthcare space are well known, like interacting with consumers and navigating digital media. One draw to the position was the agency’s G4 model, which she said may allow her to "provide even more in-depth counsel and creativity."
"I think clients want creativity, and they want an agency that understands the parameters in which they operate," Cranko said. "Sometimes even operating in those parameters requires even more creativity."
Previously, Cranko led SharedVoice PR, a division within Chamberlain Healthcare Public Relations and Chandler Chicco Companies. She has also served as EVP at Rabin Martin and EVP and MD at GCI Health, according to her LinkedIn account.
Cranko is also on the board of directors of nonprofit Health Equity Initiative.
