Following significant growth in its first four months, the three ex-journalists will work with UP Communications on a project basis, depending on company and client needs.

Gordon has worked for Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, Saville was previously at the Sunday Mirror and Sunday People and Gould is former Mail On Sunday showbiz editor.

They will support the agency as its client base grows, working on content, strategy and media outreach.

Stuart Jackson, CEO and co-founder of UP, said: "We work in a complex and competitive media environment so having a pool of senior talent and expertise to draw on is a huge strategic asset for both our clients and our own business.

"With Kathy, James and Lara now a part of team UP we have an even deeper reach across business and tabloid media that can further support our clients whatever their PR challenge."

UP’s client roster includes Orange Innovation, Chelsea Apps Factory and Style on Screen. The agency recently announced a transatlantic partnership with US-based agency Method Communications, giving clients access to PR expertise in the US as well as UK markets.
