Sky Sports PR veteran Chris Haynes to leave after 24 years

Chris Haynes, the director of external affairs at Sky Sports and Team Sky who was part of the PR team when the channel launched in 1991, is leaving the company.

Haynes is expected to leave in the next few weeks and his responsibilities will be assumed by current colleagues rather than Sky seeking a replacement.

He has been involved with the Tour de France-winning Team Sky since its inception, working on communication planning and delivery and supporting two Tour de France winners.

Sky Sports MD Barney Francis said: "Chris is a valued friend and colleague to many in Sky Sports, Team Sky and the wider business. We will miss him greatly and wish him all the very best for the future."
