Whatmough, who was at Ketchum for 18 months as a digital and social media director, joined Weber Shandwick earlier this month.
At Weber Shandwick, Whatmough will handle the company’s consumer digital operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Whatmough is chair of the PRCA digital group and a member of the trade body’s council. He is also a speaker and commentator on digital PR and the future of the industry.
Before Ketchum, Whatmough was director of digital strategies at EML Wildfire and has also previously been digital marketing and development manager for the Incorporated Society of Musicians.
