DeVries Global promotes Springer to MD

NEW YORK: DeVries Global has promoted SVP Laura Springer to MD, a newly added position.

Springer reports to DeVries global president and COO Laura Pesin. In her new role, Springer will manage accounts in the firm’s food, beverage, and lifestyle division, such as Tyson Foods, Samuel Adams, PUR Water Filtration, Celebrity Cruises, New Amsterdam, Zippo Manufacturing, and W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery.

Based in New York, Springer is responsible for overseeing the DeVries marketing team and helping the agency grow through thought leadership efforts. She is also in charge of a new media services offering.

Representatives from DeVries were not immediately available for comment.  

Since joining DeVries in 2007, Springer has managed clients including Pepperidge Farm, Ecco Domani Wines, Seattle’s Best Coffee, and the agency’s Procter & Gamble multi-brand communications account.

Prior to DeVries, Springer served as a director at Burson-Marsteller and worked at Weber Shandwick, according to her LinkedIn profile.

DeVries has also appointed Megan VanBlarcom to serve in the newly created role of senior art director for the creative and strategic services team. VanBlarcom is based in New York and reports to Ann Marie Almariei, director of content and strategy at the agency. She most recently served as an art director at Tenthwave Digital, according to her LinkedIn profile.
