The former responsibilities of Snowball, who joined PHA Media this week, will be divided between Holt and a second position that will focus on general election management but is yet to be filled.

Holt has been replaced as a special adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister by Phil Reilly, formerly head of press at Lib Dem HQ.

Other recent changes include former Edelman MD of public affairs Steve Lotinga joining as the Deputy Prime Minister’s director of communications in April and Nick Clegg's special adviser James McGrory’s promotion to the Deputy Prime Minister’s deputy director of communications.

Myrddin Edwards also recently joined as special adviser (media) to the Deputy Prime Minister.
