In the newly enlarged role at W, Kalha will be responsible for the agency’s growing portfolio of fashion & beauty and luxury clients, as well its consumer tech clients.

This includes existing clients such as MEATliquor, Hendrick’s gin, Soho House and Huawei.

Kalha was previously an associate director at Weber Shandwick and has held roles at Fever PR, Shine Communications and BBC Children in Need, where she was head of PR.

W founder Warren Johnson said that though the position was formerly held by Katy Stolliday, who left at the end of 2013 to join Unity, the role was now larger and "much more complex" due to a growth in the range of clients.

"The lifestyle division now incorporates a huge range of luxury, fashion, beauty and consumer tech brands, from start-ups to global names," he added.

"We needed to identify a leader who could move across these worlds with ease, while offering clients a consistently high level of strategic counsel."
