Campbell Brown grabs Naked Wines account

Campbell Brown has been awarded the consumer and lifestyle press and social media account for Naked Wines, an online crowdfunding company for small vineyard owners.

Naked Wines' 220,000 members act as venture capitalists, investing £20 per month into a fund that the company invests in wine producers.

The company, which was founded in 2008 by Rowan Gormley, recorded sales of £60m last year.

Naked Wines' PR and partnerships director Jo Gunn said the company was impressed with Campbell Brown’s pitch because of its emphasis on the winemakers as the "heroes" at the centre of the business model.

Agency director Camilla Brown said: "The business model is unique and we really want to amplify that in the press, as well as make a huge bang with our quirkier campaigns."

Campbell Brown was founded in January this year by Brown and Helen Campbell.
