Is my press release too long?

In my last job most of the releases were no more than one side of A4. In my new job they are nearly always two sides or more. What length do you recommend?

Shortness is a virtue – a view also shared, I believe, by Sir Martin Sorrell and Speaker John Bercow.

Short releases. Short paragraphs. Short sentences. Short words. PR writing is for people short of time and with short attention spans.

In short, keep long copy for articles and novels.
