Isabel May to lead Burberry's Europe, Middle East, India and Africa comms

Burberry has appointed Isabel May as director of comms for its recently created Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) region.

In addition Burberry has made Marta Brnicevic EMEIA director of marketing.

The roles have been created as a result of the merger of Burberry's Europe and Emerging Markets regions (comprising the Middle East, India and Africa); Burberry's other two regions are the Americas and Asia Pacific.

May joined Burberry's global team as director of PR in 2011 (from Freuds) and her remit was expanded the following year to include VIP and entertainment relations. Burberry is currently recruiting a replacement PR director.

In her new role May will report to EMEIA & Americas chief executive Andrew Maag and Julian Payne, vice-president global PR and corporate relations at a global level.

Brnicevic joined Burberry in 2011 as director of marketing and comms, emerging markets, before adding responsibility for marketing and comms for Burberry's EMEIA beauty business in 2013.

She will also report to Maag, as well as Burberry chief marketing officer Sarah Manley.
