Street, a former senior comms and strategy planner at Vodafone, will lead both external and internal comms across parent company KGB's European brands in all European markets.
He will be based in the company's London office and report to KGB global chief marketing officer Jean-Michel Maltais, who said 118 118 was looking to bring its brand to customers across a variety of new touchpoints.
The company has already branched out into financial services, with 118 118 Money, and outsourced contact centre services, with Conduit Global, as well as launching the 118 118 Beauty discount card.
"There are few brands that are as instantly identifiable as 118 118, and I'm really looking forward to helping the company engage with its customers in new and compelling ways," said Street.
"The fact that I take on this role as the company is looking to expand by ramping up its investment in several different businesses makes it even more exciting from a communications perspective."
For the past year, Street has worked as a freelance comms consultant for companies including global IT and business transformation giant EMC, RSA, Oracle and Ogilvy PR.
