Diffusion will act as Bookatable’s creative and co-ordinating PR hub and implement a campaign in the UK and across six European countries, including Germany and Sweden, through its international agency partner network.
After winning a pitch process that included incumbent Brands2Life, it will handle a series of consumer activations across national lifestyle media, social and experiential channels.
The trade campaign will focus on communicating the recent merger of the consumer-facing Bookatable.com site and the Livebookings division of the company.
Launched in 2006, Bookatable has built a marketplace of more than 10,000 restaurants across 23 countries, with more than 68 million covers booked through the site to date.
Josephine Ellis, head of comms at Bookatable, said: "The agency presented us with a bold strategy and a compelling series of creative campaigns that clearly demonstrated the ability to make Bookatable both part of the conversation and, crucially, part of the increasingly shared social experience that characterises finding, booking and enjoying a great meal out in 2014."
Brands2life co-founder Giles Fraser said: "We had a very good five-year relationship with Bookatable and wish them all the best."
