BOISE, ID: Idaho is seeking firms for international tourism marketing, including PR, to promote the state as a destination for consumers from the UK, Germany, and Australia.
The RFP states that the successful bidder will be able to use strategies such as brand promotion to bring German, British, and Australian visitors to the Gem State while increasing international visitor spending, lengthening stays, and boosting exposure to the state’s offerings. The winning firm will also be required to give the state a "competitive advantage" as a destination.
The contract will also require the winning agency to coordinate and conduct research and to use traditional consumer and trade marketing and digital and social media.
The agency must "emphasize and complement" communications to produce earned and social media and to create "buzz" and conversation about Idaho’s attractions, events, history, culture, opportunities, and emerging trends, as well as to report Web statistics, according to the RFP.
No budget is specified in the RFP, but candidates must provide examples of how they would meet requirements in three scenarios with maximum budgets of $50,000, $75,000, and $100,000.
The documents also state that the successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience handling international tourism marketing.
Proposals are due by 5 pm MST on June 2.
