Vodafone awards UK corporate, brand PR to Burson-Marsteller

LONDON: Burson-Marsteller is in pole position to land the UK corporate and brand communications account of Vodafone after being named the mobile company's preferred bidder.

LONDON: Burson-Marsteller is in pole position to land the UK corporate and brand communications account of Vodafone after being named the mobile company’s preferred bidder.

The two sides are in contract negotiations, but Vodafone has confirmed the agency will report to head of external communications Paddy Toyne-Sewell.

The brief, which was previously with Freuds, covers integrated corporate and consumer communications promoting Vodafone’s network and services.

Burson’s work will be led by Ben Maynard, chair of its technology practice, and supported by George Godsal, the new UK chair of corporate and brand.
