Luxury fashion retailer Harvey Nichols has made two senior appointments following a review and restructure of its marketing and press departments.
Emma Byrne, formerly the communications director for Barclays' retail banking arm, has joined as group communications director. Byrne's previous experience includes the same role at internet bank Egg and at Alliance Boots, as well as a stint at Weber Shandwick.
Shadi Halliwell, the head of brand and marcoms at O2, is to join on 9 June as group marketing and creative director.
Both will join the management board and report to group chief executive Stacey Cartwright, the former chief financial officer of Burberry who joined in January.
Cartwright said: "I am delighted Emma and Shadi are joining Harvey Nichols at this exciting time for both the business and the sector. They have proved themselves to be outstanding in their areas of expertise and have much to contribute to Harvey Nichols as a business and a brand."
