SINGAPORE: Edelman has appointed John O'Callaghan as Southeast Asia director of publishing and partnerships.

SINGAPORE: Edelman has appointed John O’Callaghan as Southeast Asia director of publishing and partnerships.

O’Callaghan has 20 years of experience at Thomson Reuters, most recently as Asia editor for lifestyle and entertainment.

He will be responsible for driving the editorial vision for owned and traditional media for Edelman clients and steering long-term partnerships for the firm in the region, based in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Iain Twine, CEO of Edelman Southeast Asia and Australasia, said in a statement that O’Callaghan’s "senior counsel will facilitate change and up-skill our offering to enhance the journalistic quality of the content we create for our clients."

The firm said in a statement that O’Callaghan has an international perspective on politics, economics, finance, and security, and has worked in Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, London, and Washington, DC.
