PR and media figures unite to launch news agency

3 Monkeys Communications’ head of consumer content Howard Bowden has teamed up with fellow senior industry figures to launch a news agency.

Ex-national newspaper journalist Bowden has partnered with broadcast communications agency ON-Broadcast founder Joe Dyble and Tony Meenaghan, director of Solent News Agency, for the new venture, which is called Generation. 

The business aims to offer brands and spokespeople a direct route to the national media for comment on breaking news stories, with services including issuing quotes on agency wires and alerting media to interview opportunities.

Bowden, who recently joined 3 Monkeys and will continue working there, said: "This is not a PR agency or about proactive PR campaigns but a reactive service offering clients a chance to piggyback the news agenda across print, online and broadcast."
