Lagrant Foundation chooses 2014 scholarship recipients

LOS ANGELES: The Lagrant Foundation is recognizing 20 graduate and 20 undergraduate students from ethnically diverse backgrounds pursuing degrees in PR, marketing, or advertising as 2014 scholarship recipients.

LOS ANGELES: The Lagrant Foundation is recognizing 20 graduate and 20 undergraduate students from ethnically diverse backgrounds pursuing degrees in PR, marketing, or advertising as 2014 scholarship recipients.

The students, who will be honored during the 16th Anniversary Scholarship & Donor Recognition Reception on May 19 at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, will receive a total of $150,000 in scholarships. Undergraduate students will receive $2,500 scholarships, and graduate students will receive $5,000 scholarships to help fund their education.

The foundation will also provide winners with airfare and lodging for three-day career-building events where they will network and meet top communications professionals.

• Baza Halie-Selassie – University of Minnesota, marketing

• Ahmed Hollowell – Marquette University, marketing & information technology

• Miguel Juarez – University of Texas, Dallas, marketing

• Midori Ng – University of Washington, marketing & information systems, minor in diversity
