Burson appoints Sullivan as MD of worldwide comms

NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has hired Catherine Sullivan, previously director of communications at Porter Novelli, to serve as MD of worldwide communications.

NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has hired Catherine Sullivan, previously director of communications at Porter Novelli, to serve as MD of worldwide communications.

Based in the firm’s New York office, Sullivan is reporting to Don Baer, worldwide chair and CEO of Burson. She is responsible for leading the agency’s external and internal communications efforts.

Paul Cordasco, who had been handling communications for Burson, will continue as an MD on the team, while taking on some client work.

Before joining Porter Novelli in 2009, Sullivan worked at MS&L New York, serving as an editorial director. She also previously held editorial and account management positions at Publicis Dialog, Gibbs & Soell, and Cohn & Wolfe.
