Automobile dealer industry group taps Collegio as VP

WASHINGTON: The National Automobile Dealers Association has named Jonathan Collegio as VP of public affairs.

WASHINGTON: The National Automobile Dealers Association has named Jonathan Collegio as VP of public affairs.

He will report to Peter Welch, the organization's president, and is responsible for its communications and marketing efforts. His first day will be March 21.

Since 2010, Collegio has served as communications director for American Crossroads in Washington, DC, the largest Republican super PAC, and was one of the group's first hires.

Collegio previously served as VP of strategic initiatives for the National Association of Broadcasters and chief spokesman for Republicans in the House of Representatives during the 2006 midterm elections. He was also deputy chief of staff for Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC).
