BFI hands Richard Shaw top comms job

The BFI has appointed Richard Shaw as director of marketing, comms and audiences.

Joining the film institute in late April, Shaw will assume overall responsibility for developing and leading a customer and comms strategy.  

He joins the BFI from Lion Television where he has been executive producer and head of development since 2002.

Shaw steps in for Chris Travers, who left the BFI at the end of January to join the Australian Centre for the Moving Image as marketing and development director.
