LONDON: CNN International has snapped up Dan Faulks from ITN to head up communications across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
Faulks will step into the role of director for CNNI communications in EMEA next month, reporting to Claudia Coles, VP of comms for the news broadcaster's parent company, Turner International.
The role includes overseeing communications across content and advertising sales, research, business development, and marketing.
His hire follows the departure of senior EMEA press manager Syreeta Clarke last year.
Coles said Faulkes' appointment was "a critical indicator of the importance CNN International attaches to the EMEA region as it opens up new markets."
Before joining ITN in 2009, Faulks was comms manager for Radio Times magazine at BBC Worldwide. He previously worked at Lewis PR, Catalysis, and Eulogy.
