Edelman gives Hurst global role developing culture

Edelman has handed UK tech head Matt Hurst a new global role developing the agency's international culture across its 67 offices.

LONDON: Edelman has handed UK tech head Matt Hurst a new global role developing the agency's international culture across its 67 offices.

Hurst, whose job title is now global EVP for culture, will retain his clients but be replaced as MD of Edelman's UK tech practice by Justin Westcott, who is returning to London after three years working in the United Arab Emirates.

Hurst was named MD of UK technology in 2012 after joining the agency in 2007.

“I believe Edelman being global, independent, and a family firm creates a vibrant, compelling culture for both our clients and people,” he said “Powerful company cultures come from combining a corporation's values and DNA with the richness of local culture."

Westcott ran Edelman UAE's consumer and technology practices; he was most recently acting GM there.
