Ombudsman Services has appointed Westminster Advisers to deliver strategic public affairs support following a five-way pitch.
Westminster Advisers will be providing strategic guidance for the not-for-profit company, which offers a right of redress and acts as an intermediary for disputes across the energy, communications, property, copyright licensing and Green Deal sectors.
The brief includes handling changes in the political environment as well as working towards demonstrating the benefits of Ombudsman schemes to consumers, businesses and the Government.
Westminster Advisers MD Dominic Church said: "Improving access to consumer redress and increasing customer trust and confidence in businesses are ever-more important issues for policymakers. Living standards and the treatment of individuals by businesses will feature heavily between now and the 2015 general election, making this an exciting area to be involved in."
