Alaska releases multimillion-dollar tourism RFP

ANCHORAGE, AK: The state of Alaska is seeking a PR firm to create a comprehensive tourism campaign with a budget estimated at $1 million to $6 million.

The contract runs from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, with the state maintaining the option to renew the contract for four additional years. Bids are due January 20, with a decision expected by January 27, according to the solicitation notice.

One of the responsibilities of the contract involves generating positive travel-related coverage about Alaska in the feature and news channels of local and national media.
