WCG Companies hires Edelman's Grates

SAN FRANCISCO: WCG Companies, the parent firm of agency WCG, has hired Gary Grates, former president and global managing director of Edelman Change and Employee Engagement.

SAN FRANCISCO: WCG Companies, the parent firm of agency WCG, has hired Gary Grates, former president and global managing director of Edelman Change and Employee Engagement.

He will work to build a global presence for the firm and expand its capabilities in change management, corporate positioning, corporate reputation, and strategy development and planning, the agency said in a statement.

Prior to joining Edelman, he served as VP of corporate communications at General Motors. He was responsible for brand, product, media, internal, financial, and public policy communications for GM's North America Region.

He has also served as president of GCI Boxenbaum Grates, a consultancy specializing in change management, internal communications, and corporate positioning.
