NEW YORK: M Booth has formed an alliance with Umindi Francis Consulting Group to enhance its fashion expertise.

NEW YORK: M Booth has formed an alliance with Umindi Francis Consulting Group to enhance its fashion expertise.

The agency decided to partner with Umindi Francis Consulting because of the group's extensive relationships and experience working with fashion influencers, stylists, and industry contacts, said Jennifer Teitler, co-director of M Booth's consumer practice and head of the firm's fashion team. Teitler will manage the alliance.

“We wanted to make sure we found someone that was a good fit with M Booth culturally, but also brought some really great expertise in the industry,” she said.

The alliance's goal is to help M Booth obtain more fashion clients. The agency works with various fashion brands, including Aerosoles, online bridal and special occasion retailer BHLDN, and Maidenform.

Umindi Francis Consulting will also help M Booth with strategic counsel for fashion clients, as well as building relationships with high-level fashion-industry influencers. The consulting group may help with social media for some clients, depending on the scope of the work, said Teitler.

She added that Umindi Francis, founder of the eponymous firm, has a deep “understanding of what a fashion client needs from having worked in-house, as well as having worked on the agency side.”

Prior to starting her own consulting group, Francis was PR director for designer Nicole Miller, as well as a publicist for Louis Vuitton of LVMH. She also founded boutique PR firm Kemlon Marketing in Philadelphia in 1997.
