Target taps JeffreyGroup for Hispanic PR account

MINNEAPOLIS: Target has selected JeffreyGroup to manage the company's Hispanic PR business following a review.

Dustee Jenkins, VP of PR at Target, said in an emailed statement that JeffreyGroup's “extensive multicultural experience and its passion for Target truly impressed the Target team throughout the agency search process.” Jenkins could not be immediately reached for additional comment.

Mike Valdes-Fauli, president of JeffreyGroup, said via email that the firm is “honored” to have been selected as Target's Hispanic PR partner, noting that the company is “known for valuing the culture and diversity of its employees and guests.” He declined to comment further.

Republica, Target's Hispanic PR agency for the past year, declined to comment.

Valdes-Fauli added that JeffreyGroup will bring its “unique understanding of the drivers and influencers of Hispanic communities” to drive Target's “continued success” in the multicultural space.

By next spring, Target plans to expand its presence to Canada by building as many as 135 stores across the country.
