BEVERLY HILLS, CA: Tyler Barnett PR has developed Clipmodo, a service that simplifies the media-clipping process.

The goal of the platform is to improve productivity and decrease the amount of time that employees spend on media and clip tracking.

The online service automates the tasks of taking screen shots, copying and pasting, layout, and graphic design to generate clips in less than two minutes that clients can view on various devices.

Tyler Barnett, owner of the eponymous agency, designed the service for PR firms, in-house departments, and small businesses. The clips can also be printed, shared on social networks, and stored in galleries that a client can organize. Clipmodo offers three templates, but more will likely be developed, said Barnett.

The service also allows users to pull quotes or images, so a PR professional doesn't need to scan an entire article if his or her company is only featured in one portion.

“You can choose a picture and a quote and make your client look like the center of the article,” Barnett said.

Barnett publicly rolled out the service this week after testing it in beta with a select group of firms.

Clipmodo costs $50 per month, per log-in, which allows the user to maintain up to five client portals. A free basic membership, which is essentially a fully-functioning 30-day trail, and a premium membership that allows unlimited client portals and clips, are also available.
