PARIS: Burson-Marsteller has agreed to acquire French communications consultancy I&E.

It will merge the firm with Burson's French operations under the name Burson-Marsteller I&E. Philippe Pailliart, currently CEO of Burson-Marsteller SAS in France, will oversee the combined agency, which will be Burson's largest office in EMEA with more than 150 employees. Burson staffers will move to I&E's offices in the ninth district in central Paris.

I&E specializes in reputation management, brand marketing, and change management, Burson said in a statement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Burson also acquired a majority stake in Pohjoisranta, a Finnish agency, in January.
