PHILADELPHIA: Abernathy MacGregor Group SVP Kate Finn will move to Comcast as director of corporate communications this fall.

Finn will join the media company on September 4 and report to Jennifer Khoury, VP of corporate communications. Khoury reports to CCO and SVP of corporate communications D'Arcy Rudnay. Finn's last day at Abernathy MacGregor is Tuesday.

Finn will work with Khoury on all corporate communications matters, and help Rudnay with speeches, presentations, quotes, and other C-suite comms initiatives.

Finn has worked for the past eight years at Abernathy MacGregor, where Comcast was one of her largest clients. She started as an associate at the firm.

“When the opportunity came up, it was a tough decision because I love the agency lifestyle, but it felt like the right time to make a change,” Finn said. “It will be a good opportunity to dig into working in corporate communications for one company.”

Comcast promoted Rudnay to CCO in late March. Her responsibilities expanded to include management of the company's brand, image, and reputation, while also maintaining oversight of strategic communications. She retained her former title as SVP of corporate communications at the time.

Comcast completed a takeover deal of NBCUniversal in January 2011.
