NEW YORK: Journal and notebook maker Moleskine is in the final stages of a review process for a PR agency partner.

The company is evaluating the final candidates in the RFP process and it should make a decision very soon, said Erik Fabian, PR and event manager at Moleskine.

“We are seeking a new agency that will work with us on a variety of more targeted projects,” he explained.

Moleskine has worked with PR agency BDE in New York and Blume PR in Germany, Fabian said. The company is looking to consolidate its agency network to support its global brand presence.

In June, the Italian company said it plans to conduct an initial public offering in the fourth quarter of this year in Milan, Italy.

The brand launched in Milan in 1997, and it saw its sales increase from $98 million in 2006 to $245 million in 2010. The company has also modernized its notebooks and journals to better fit the world of digital devices, such as creating Moleskine iPad covers.
