Van der Walde joins APCO's health board

WASHINGTON: Lambert van der Walde, former capital markets adviser to the administrator of the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has joined APCO's health advisory board.

WASHINGTON: Lambert van der Walde, former capital markets adviser to the administrator of the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has joined APCO's health advisory board.

During his tenure at CMS, van der Walde served as the agency's liaison between policy makers, investors, and the healthcare industry. He is president of Van Der Walde & Co., a healthcare finance and policy advisory firm.

The agency's health advisory board includes former chief medical officers, public health leaders, heads of communication of large pharmaceutical and insurance companies, and former health policy officials.

Bob Kocher, former special assistant to President Barack Obama on healthcare and economic policy, joined the board late last month.
