ASHBURN, VA: The Washington Redskins have named Shripal Shah SVP and chief strategy officer.
Shah was most recently SVP and chief digital strategist at Catalyst Public Relations after a previous stint with the Redskins.
In his new role, Shah will oversee the team's marketing strategy and platforms, with an emphasis on digital and social media integration. He will report to Mitch Gershman, CMO of the National Football League franchise.
Shah previously worked for the team from 2005 to 2010, serving as SVP of digital strategy, VP of e-commerce and web strategy, and VP of marketing strategy and customer experience, among other roles. He launched the team's Facebook fan page, its Foursquare team badge, and its iPad app during his first tenure with the Redskins.
