Harris appoints Taylor as VP, corporate strategy

MELBOURNE, FL: Harris Corporation has hired Gregory Taylor as VP of corporate strategy and business development, a newly-created role.

MELBOURNE, FL: Harris Corporation has hired Gregory Taylor as VP of corporate strategy and business development, a newly-created role.

Taylor will be responsible for leading strategy and business development, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, at the communications and IT company. He will report to president and CEO Bill Brown.

Taylor was previously VP of sales, marketing, strategy, and business development in United Technologies Corporation's Automation and Controls Solutions division. He also served in a senior leadership position for UTC's Global Fire Products division.

Prior to joining UTC, Taylor was an SVP at Investor Growth Capital. He has also worked at George Group, Bain and Company, and General Electric Astrospace, which is now part of Lockheed Martin.
