SEATTLE: Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has promoted Jenny Moede to president of its North America region, a new position at the firm.
Moede will continue to oversee the agency's North American healthcare, technology, consumer, public affairs, corporate, and social innovation practices, as well as its Studio D digital unit. She will take on oversight of the firm's North American business development and marketing teams.
Moede will report to Melissa Waggener Zorkin, president, CEO, and founder of the agency, and oversee 11 direct reports. Her responsibilities were expanded to include oversight of Shelley Stevens, VP of marketing, and business development VP Wendy Huston. WE global president Claire Lematta will continue to oversee the firm's global business.
Moede joined WE in 1994 as a member of the Microsoft corporate team, and she founded the firm's healthcare practice in 2001. She was promoted to EVP for the North America region and practice areas in September 2010 from EVP of healthcare.
Before joining WE, Moede worked in Edelman's Washington DC office.
