SANTA CLARA, CA: Antivirus company McAfee has hired Zeno Group as AOR in the US following a review.

Earlier this month, McAfee said it will launch a new Facebook app called McAfee Social Protection, which will allow users to share protected photos with select friends. The software company will release the app as a free public beta at the end of this month.

Zeno Group added a wide array of tech clients in 2011, including Life Technologies, Oak Investment Partners, Kurion, VeriFone, Francisco Partners, Pearltrees, Lam Research, and Tech-America. The agency also hired former Edelman EVP and MD Todd Irwin in November to run its new Silicon Valley office as MD.

Antivirus competitor Symantec, the maker of the Norton product line, picked Zeno sister agency Edelman in June as its consumer AOR.
