The winning agency will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including developing and implementing a strategic PR and communications plan. The city wants to increase awareness of services at the airport for various market segments, according to the RFP.

The firm may also be responsible for developing and implementing a new social media plan and assisting with the development and execution of a community outreach plan, according to the search documents.

Responses to the RFP are due August 29, thought intent-to-apply notices were due August 15. The account will run on a project-by-project basis, according to the RFP documents.

In January, San Francisco International Airport hired Burson-Marsteller as AOR with a three-year contract worth $1.8 million.
