MIAMI: República has selected mentoring organization Strong Women, Strong Girls as the inaugural recipient of its Repúblicares pro bono initiative.

República will provide communications, branding, and creative services to the organization. Strong Women, Strong Girls connects elementary school girls with college women in Boston, Philadelphia, and Miami.

The agency launched Repúblicares to offer pro bono communications services to an organization within the US and Puerto Rico. More than 20 nonprofits applied to the program this year, and SWSG was one of three finalists.

Repúblicares will begin accepting applications for 2013 in February and will name the next recipient in the fall.
