LONDON: German airline group Lufthansa has named Barbara Schädler head of corporate communications.
She succeeded Jürgen Homeyer, who took over the role on an interim basis in December when Klaus Walther moved into a wider project-management role at the airline carrier after spending 13 years in the position.
Schädler, who will take over on July 1, will move from business management software firm SAP, where she was SVP of global communications.
Previously she was CMO at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, has held senior communications roles at German energy firm RWE Energie, and was spokesperson at Germany's Federal Finance Ministry.
Schädler will report to Lufthansa CEO and chairman Christoph Franz.
