Johndroe joins Lockheed Martin as media relations VP

BETHESDA, MD: Lockheed Martin has hired former APCO Worldwide executive Gordon Johndroe as VP of media relations and international communications.

BETHESDA, MD: Lockheed Martin has hired former APCO Worldwide executive Gordon Johndroe as VP of media relations and international communications.

Johndroe will oversee media relations and international outreach campaigns and strategies, provide media counsel to leadership, and serve as the chief spokesperson for the security and aerospace company. He will report to Jennifer Whitlow, VP of corporate communications.

Most recently, Johndroe was a VP at APCO Worldwide, where he executed campaigns and advised companies on strategic communications, traditional and social media, and government relations. Prior to that, he was the White House deputy press secretary and spokesman for the National Security Council. Johndroe has also served as director of strategic communications and planning at the US State Department, press secretary to former First Lady Laura Bush, press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, and assistant White House press secretary.
