LONDON: Porter Novelli has appointed Sally Ward, senior partner and MD of the firm's London office, as president of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa operations, effective June 1.
Ward, who will continue in her role as MD for London, will oversee the growth of Porter's business in the EMEA region.
Before rejoining the Omnicom Group agency in 2010, Ward founded an executive search, talent management, and senior-level coaching agency called Plum Consulting.
Prior to that, she worked at Weber Shandwick in the UK for five years, where she helped grow the consumer practice, managed international accounts, and served as deputy UK CEO and as European vice chairman. She left Weber in 2006.
Ward previously worked at Porter, formerly Countrywide Porter Novelli, for seven years, serving as a portfolio director and later as UK development director.
In addition to promoting Ward, the firm has appointed 18-year Porter veteran Luc Missinne to regional director for EMEA. He previously served as senior partner and MD of the agency's Brussels and Paris offices.
Alex Woolfall, Porter's former head of corporate EMEA, left the agency last October to take on a consulting role at Coca-Cola Europe.
