Porter appoints Ovseyevitz to lead Latin America

NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has promoted Karen Ovseyevitz to president of Latin America, effective June 1.

NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has promoted Karen Ovseyevitz to president of Latin America, effective June 1.

A 17-year veteran of Porter, Ovseyevitz serves as partner and regional director of Latin America, MD of the Florida office, and co-MD of the firm's Mexican arm Martec Porter Novelli. 

In her new role, Ovseyevitz will be responsible for growing the Omnicom Group agency's Latin American operations, overseeing its partner offices in Central and South America, and establishing best practices and training for the region. Reporting to Porter CEO Karen van Bergen, she will continue to manage Martec Porter Novelli, along with co-MD Sandra Kleinburg. She will also continue leading the Florida office.

Ovseyevitz co-founded Martec Porter Novelli in 1993 and became regional director for Latin America in 2007. She previously spent five years at technology company Oracle Mexico as a presales engineer, educational services manager, and marketing manager.
