DNC political director Lerner returns to DKC

NEW YORK: Former Democratic National Committee political director Jeffrey Lerner joined DKC on Monday as EVP.

NEW YORK: Former Democratic National Committee political director Jeffrey Lerner joined DKC on Monday as EVP.

Lerner will work with corporate and nonprofit clients, collaborating with DKC managing partner John Marino and MD Joe DePlasco.

He most recently served as political director for the DNC during President Barack Obama's 2012 reelection campaign after working as White House Southern political director during the first two years of the Obama administration. Lerner also served as communications director for then-New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo before leading 2008 presidential campaign efforts for labor organization Change to Win. He also previously worked at DKC after the 2004 presidential election.
