French/West/Vaughan acquires sports, entertainment firm

RALEIGH, NC: French/West/Vaughan has acquired Grooms Athletic Management and Entertainment, a sports and entertainment management, marketing, and consulting firm based in New York.

RALEIGH, NC: French/West/Vaughan has acquired Grooms Athletic Management and Entertainment, a sports and entertainment management, marketing, and consulting firm based in New York.

The agency will be folded into French/West/Vaughan's sports and entertainment practice. Founder and owner Hayes Grooms, who played college basketball at the University of Michigan, joined French/West/Vaughan on June 1 as VP of sports and entertainment, based in New York.

Grooms' clients, such as free agent wide receiver Steve Breaston and Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins, will join French/West/Vaughan's portfolio.

Grooms has worked on deals for athletes including Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards, and Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best, as well as Canadian pop star Kreesha Turner.

French/West/Vaughan has handled PR and marketing programs for athletes including running back Arian Foster of the Houston Texans, quarterback Michael Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles, and safety Glover Quin of the Detroit Lions.
