Piers Pottinger to chair Bell Pottinger Asia in Singapore

SINGAPORE: Bell Pottinger Private deputy chairman Piers Pottinger has taken the role of chairman of the group's Asian operations in a bid to boost its client base in the region.

SINGAPORE: Bell Pottinger Private deputy chairman Piers Pottinger has taken the role of chairman of the group's Asian operations in a bid to boost its client base in the region.

The company has also promoted Asia MD  Ang Shih-Huei to CEO to strengthen the company's presence.

“Growing our business in Asia is Bell Pottinger's No. 1 priority, which is why I have moved to Singapore. We are growing rapidly here and throughout the region, most notably in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Vietnam,” said Pottinger. “Our corporate and financial communications expertise coupled with our global public affairs skills are already attracting an enviable client base.”

The firm has operated in Asia for the past 20 years, establishing its Asia headquarters in Singapore in 2010.

Pottinger will retain his role as deputy to Bell Pottinger Private chairman Tim Bell.
