NEW YORK: Weber Shandwick has launched a creative services offering called GoLive that showcases client content through live storytelling, social distribution, and digital broadcast production.

GoLive, which the firm has pilot-tested for six months, is part of Mediaco, Weber's content-creation and distribution unit that launched in March. The service can be integrated into digital and social media efforts, or GoLive videos can function as their own standalone initiatives.

Emmy Award-winning producer Ian Cohen, now an SVP and executive producer at Weber, is leading the service along with George Snell, senior lead in the firm's digital practice and a former journalist.

Weber has been actively hiring Mediaco staffers to work on GoLive, said a representative from the firm. Mediaco has more than 100 specialists, 35 of which are producers and video editors.GoLive has 10 dedicated staffers.

Weber has held GoLive video events for Verizon Wireless, Ocean Spray, Radio Shack, Concur, and Life is Good.
