Nielsen appoints Vanek to lead IR

NEW YORK: Global measurement company Nielsen Holdings has hired Kate Vanek as SVP of investor relations, effective July 8.

NEW YORK: Global measurement company Nielsen Holdings has hired Kate Vanek as SVP of investor relations, effective July 8.

Vanek will be responsible for communicating with Nielsen investors and analysts about the company's strategy, growth prospects, and financial performance. She will be based in New York and report to CFO Brian West.

Vanek is VP of investor relations at Stanley Black & Decker. She joined the company in 2008 and has managed its investor and government relations since 2009, including the merger of The Stanley Works and Black & Decker. Previously, Vanek held roles at Bear Stearns and Thompson Financial.
