HONG KONG: Former Cathay Pacific global digital and social media manager Alastair (Ali) Bullock has joined Dow Jones as director of communications for Asia-Pacific.

Bullock has replaced Chad Tendler, who left last December. He is responsible for the corporate communications of all Dow Jones brands, including Factiva, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and SmartMoney in Asia-Pacific.

He is charged with creating, managing, and executing PR programs and media relations for the region and will work with local business unit heads on the commercial and editorial side of Dow Jones.

Bullock was most recently head of communications at WWF Hong Kong, where he helped build the charity's communications team and spearheaded the marketing for its annual event, Earth Hour 2013. WWF is looking for his replacement.

Before joining WWF last September, Bullock was with Cathay Pacific for nearly five years and was instrumental in establishing the airline's social media presence.
